Divine Grace and Guru’s Blessings: How Our Family Found Refuge in Shri Siddhadata Ashram

Satguru Maharaj Ji’s saying that by God’s grace, one meets a saint, and by a saint’s grace, one meets God, is an eternal truth. Our family came under the shelter of Satguru Maharaj Ji in 1991 by the grace of God. It is a common human predicament to seek God’s refuge only when all other paths seem blocked or when one is utterly despondent.
An incident related to this was when an elderly family in Delhi rented our house and then refused to vacate it, causing us immense distress and struggle. A neighbor suggested that we visit Satguru Maharaj Ji. Though we went to the Ashram, we could not meet Guru Maharaj Ji as he was in Rajasthan at the time. We spoke to a sevak (servant) at the Ashram, who advised us to visit continuously for forty days with faith and devotion.
We followed his instructions and visited the Ashram for forty days. During this period, we finally had the opportunity to have Guru Maharaj Ji’s darshan in the first satsang of December. Feeling a connection, I asked my wife and children to accompany me to the Ashram. We all prayed silently to Guru Maharaj Ji to have our house vacated without any confrontation with the tenants. The next day, when I went to check, I found the house spiritually empty. The tenants had left two days earlier without any conflict or trouble.
From that day, we dedicated ourselves to Guru Maharaj Ji. However, the grace of Guru Maharaj had started showering upon us from the very first day we set foot in Shri Siddhadata Ashram. The truth is:
“Those protected by Guru, the lord, fear nothing. Even if fate turns against them, Guru’s grace will always prevail.”
