Divine Intervention: Guru Maharaj’s Miraculous Healing Power

Satguru Maharaj Ji’s blessings are always upon his devotees, and he protects them and their family members at any time, whether day or night, in any form. We call this protection by Guru Maharaj as a miracle. A similar miracle happened to me, which even the witnesses and doctors acknowledged as an extraordinary survival.

I was scheduled for four surgeries, but thanks to Guru Maharaj’s blessings, I recovered without any of them. Here’s my story:

On November 23, 1999, which was a Monday, my younger son’s birthday, I decided to visit the Ashram the next day, a Wednesday, as Tuesday is considered inauspicious for travel. However, we received a call from our receiver informing us that the car had caught fire, so we canceled our plans.

My younger brother Sanjay and I had a factory next to our shop. One day, a gas cylinder in the factory started leaking. In an attempt to move it out, the cylinder fell near the door. Hearing the hissing sound of the gas, I rushed to stop the leakage with my hand, holding the cylinder between my legs, and asked for the cap. But all the workers had fled the scene. In the meantime, the gas caught fire, and I was engulfed in flames. My clothes burned, and several parts of my body were scorched. At that moment, it felt like someone was giving me instructions. Following the commands, I shut off the gas cylinders in the factory and then turned off the main electricity switch, locking the factory door from the outside before stepping out. I stood next to the burning cylinder, and a man in white clothes holding a small fire extinguisher appeared. He was extinguishing the flames. The fire was raging 15 feet high. As instructed, I covered the cylinder with a blanket. The man then disappeared, and I was taken to the hospital.

The doctors treated me for ten days, commenting on the miraculous recovery from such severe burns. They couldn’t believe that someone could survive such an ordeal. My wife and I went to Guruji, and he asked what had happened. Without me explaining anything, he detailed the entire incident. He asked if I had injuries to my brain, eyes, hands, or other body parts. I said, “Guruji, how are your hands?” He replied, “What’s wrong with my hands?” I reminded him of the burns on his hands and the blistering I saw when he came to extinguish the fire. He showed his hands, and they were perfectly fine.

Guruji then said, “What I am telling you is the truth. When this incident happened, I was here. My vision indicated that my devotee’s life was in danger, so I went to the scene to save him and extinguish the fire.”

I informed Guruji that the doctors were recommending surgery. He asked what the surgery was for. I explained they planned to graft a piece of skin to cover the wounds and heal them in a week. I requested Guruji to heal the wounds without surgery. Guruji blessed me, saying, “Your wounds will heal without surgery.” He mentioned that where there is a confluence of four rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, and the divine blessing—there is no need to worry.

The doctors were amazed when, on the scheduled day of surgery, they found the wounds healing rapidly. What normally would take 30 days to form a piece of skin had started to heal within four days. The doctors and surgeons were astonished. I knew that it was all due to Guru Maharaj’s divine blessings.
