The Divine Protection of Guruji During the Uttarakhand Disaster

Shri Sadgurudevaya Namah
Our family has always been blessed by the grace of revered Guruji. My father, Pt. Tekchand Sharma, has been in the company of revered Guruji Swami Sudarshanacharya Ji for many years, and I have also been in the service of Maharaj Shri for years. The recent grace of yogic Guruji came as a miracle for our family. During the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra on June 17, 2013, a disaster struck. Revered Guruji Swami Purushottamacharya Ji not only saved all family members safely but also provided us with his guidance, while others were stranded in the dark and struggling for food. We did not face any issues with food or shelter. Guruji was guiding us through his subtle presence.
When we sought permission from Guruji for the Char Dham Yatra, he warned us that there was danger ahead and advised against going. We could not understand his indication and proceeded with the journey. We stayed at a hotel in Sonprayag, but I felt uneasy and insisted that my family move ahead immediately, despite heavy rain and their opposition. Just one and a half to two kilometers ahead, we heard a loud noise of the mountains collapsing behind us. We narrowly escaped, and gradually news spread that a disaster had occurred, and we had completely avoided it. The bridge in Guptkashi had collapsed. We later learned that the parking area of the hotel in Sonprayag where we stayed had been washed away. Then we realized how Guruji had saved us from that disaster through his direct messages.
Two days later, we reached Phata, where there was also chaos and a severe food shortage. But by Guruji’s grace, we not only got food immediately but also found a very beautiful and safe place to stay. The clouds roared all night, and I prayed to Guruji to command Indra Dev to stop the rain, fearing more lives could be lost. As soon as the prayer ended, it felt as if someone had opened an umbrella over us. We thanked Guruji for his grace and started a communal meal (bhandara) the next day with some other people. Later, the villagers took over. After a day and a half, the road opened, and we reached Rishikesh via Tehri-Chamba. On the way, we saw people crying. Many of their family members had fallen victim to the disaster, but by Guruji’s grace, we faced no danger and returned to Delhi safely.
