Faith and Fortune: The Transformative Blessings of Guru Maharaj at Shri Siddhadata Ashram

There is an unending series of pleasant experiences under the cool shade of the banyan tree-like Shri Siddhadata Ashram in the presence of Gurudev. When I think about these experiences, all I remember is my immense gratitude. Ordinary humans often make terrible mistakes in recognizing divine beings, and I am a prime example of that.

My first meeting with Guruji was in November 1978. During that time, I was in Kolkata, struggling with job issues. Guruji blessed me and told me that I would get a good job by January 1979. True to his word, I secured a government job in January and was posted in Port Blair, Assam. I met Guruji again and inquired about other opportunities. He blessed me and said that I would soon see a transfer.

In March 1979, I moved to Delhi. At that time, I considered Guruji’s words as mere astrological gossip and did not give them much importance. I didn’t visit Guruji again for 3-4 years, forgetting about him amidst my work. By 1984, after working in my job, I quit and set up a plastic goods manufacturing factory in Bengal. In 1985, the business suffered massive losses, almost wiping out all my savings, leaving me destitute. After wandering for help, I remembered Guruji in June-July 1986.

I went to the same temple in Kolkata, where the crowd had significantly increased. It was challenging to get an appointment with Guruji. After several days, I managed to get my name registered and met Guruji. Upon seeing me, Guruji said, “Ajit Singh Ji! Shouldn’t you at least say thank you when someone helps you?” His words made me realize my mistake, and I vowed to offer water and flowers at Guruji’s feet daily.

This continued for several months until one day, Guruji called me, patted my back, and blessed me, saying that I would soon get a good job. Within 2-3 months, I secured a good job in Surat. I requested Guruji to bring me closer to him, and soon, I was transferred to Delhi.

The job flourished under Guruji’s blessings, but my desire to start my own business never left my mind. Guruji understood my wish. After resigning from my job, I ventured into a good business sector. With Guruji’s blessings, the business prospered greatly. Since 1986, I have been continuously serving Guruji’s feet and receiving his immense love. Every wish I had during this period was fulfilled.
