Divine Shield: How Guru Maharaj’s Grace Saved Me from a Life-Threatening Attack

I want to share a terrifying incident from my life with all my fellow devotees. This incident occurred on June 4, 2001. I was on my way to deposit ₹250,000 in the bank from my jewelry shop in Varanasi, riding alone on my scooter. A short distance from my shop, three individuals on a motorcycle blocked my path and forced me to stop. As soon as they stopped, they fired a gunshot at me. The bullet hit my ribs, causing severe injury. Seeing the revolver aimed at me and feeling the blood oozing from my body, I was terrified for a moment. I cried out and, understanding the situation, prayed fervently to Guruji, saying, “Guruji, I am with you. I am relying solely on you.”

At that moment, I felt a divine strength within me. I started feeling a profound sense of peace. I quickly grabbed the bag of money from the scooter. Just then, the assailants fired a second shot, which pierced through my shoulder. The scooter had already fallen. Deciding it was safer to run, I picked up the bag and began to flee on foot. As I took my first step, one of the assailants aimed at my chest and fired a third shot. By Guruji’s grace, this bullet hit the locket of Guruji hanging around my neck and bounced off. The locket was damaged, but I remained completely unharmed. Guruji’s protection doubled and quadrupled my courage, and I ran with all my might.

The three assailants chased me. After running some distance, one of them caught up to me and tried to snatch the bag. We wrestled and fought fiercely, but I did not let go of the bag. Breaking free, I ran again. They then threw a bomb at me, which missed its mark and exploded nearby. The shrapnel hit my legs. By then, a crowd had gathered, and the assailants fled without the money.

Despite enduring three gunshots and a bomb attack, I remained conscious. Blood was flowing from my body, but with courage and strength from Guruji, I managed to pick up my scooter, start it, and ride to the nearest nursing home for treatment. Throughout this ordeal, I felt an incredible divine presence with me every moment. I am now completely healthy.

In mid-July, I visited the Ashram. I firmly believe that Guru Maharaj’s blessings and grace will continue to protect me in the future.
