Book 10 – Personal Experience

My family came into contact with Guru Maharaj Ji in 1996. My younger son got married in May 1994, but until 1996, they had no children. They received Guru Maharaj’s blessing for children. Within a year, a girl and a boy were born by the grace of Guru Maharaj, bringing happiness to my entire family. Everyone sincerely thanked Guru Maharaj, which strengthened my faith even more.

One day, I went to see Guru Maharaj Ji with Mr. K.D. Sharma, a lawyer. When Mr. Sharma introduced me to Guru Maharaj Ji, Guru Maharaj embraced me and said that he knew me well, even though I had only met Guru Maharaj two or three times briefly. This made me very happy, and my faith in Guru Maharaj continued to grow. After this, I decided that after my retirement, I would only serve in the ashram because I had about 1½ years left until retirement. Mr. K.D. Sharma and I discussed this almost daily, and my devotion to Guru Maharaj increased day by day.

Twenty days before my retirement, on the night of January 10, 1999, at around 9:30 PM, a fire broke out in my son’s factory. The fire was so severe that it took until 2 or 2:30 AM to extinguish. At that time, my elder son was away in Almora with someone, and I and my younger son were at home.

I had gone to the other side. I and my younger son were at home. I was asleep when someone informed my younger son about the fire in the factory. Without informing me, my younger son went to the factory. After that, my wife woke me up and informed me about the incident. When I asked about my son, I found out that he had gone to the factory. At the same time, our neighbor found out about it and was ready to take his car. I sat in his car and reached the factory. I saw that a severe fire was raging. This shocked me greatly. But my younger son kept remembering Guru Maharaj. I also kept remembering Guru Maharaj. The factory suffered significant damage due to this fire, and it felt like I had lost everything and ended up on the street. My children and I were very troubled by this incident, but we had complete faith in Guru Maharaj.

We met Guru Maharaj at Garhi. My son Rakesh had taken the Guru’s name, while I had not taken Naam Daan yet. Guru Maharaj asked my son what he wanted to ask. My son said, “Guru Maharaj! The factory has caught fire.” Guru Maharaj asked my son to make a map of the factory. When my son made the map, Guru Maharaj said, “Match it with my map.” Guru Maharaj had already made a map even though he had never seen my son’s factory. Guru Maharaj said, “When the factory caught fire, I was there sitting on the biggest pile. I had saved the rest of the piles you had dedicated to different deities. While saving this big pile, my finger got burnt. Otherwise, I would have put my whole hand into the fire.”

Still, nothing happened. We saw his burnt fingers. After that, Guru Maharaj said that your one-third share is saved, one-third will be received as compensation, and the remaining one-third will be fulfilled by me. After that, we started repairing the factory’s infrastructure and machinery, and it didn’t feel like where the money was coming from. None of my work stopped, and there was never any obstacle in my business. With Guru Maharaj’s grace, we didn’t feel that we had suffered any loss. Our business kept growing day by day and night by night, and with Guru Maharaj’s grace, it continued to flourish.

After that, my faith kept increasing. Once the factory was fixed, I went to the Darbar and expressed my desire to serve in the Ashram. After trying for about a month to serve in the Ashram, I got the opportunity to serve, and I started serving in the evening on the telephone. While serving, I quickly took Naam Daan. But after 1-2 months, I lost my service, and it was a big shock to me. But with the grace of Guru Maharaj, Shri Rameshwar Singh Ji supported me. Singh Sahib had the department of books. Singh Sahib gave me the task of serving the books, and I started serving the books, which increased the work of the books, and my interest in serving grew even more. Thus, I became engrossed in Guru Seva.

One day, I was sitting in the children’s factory when Jagdish Lakhani came and said that Guru Maharaj desires that you organize a satsang in Kosikalan for a day, so in my heart…

The desire to organize a satsang arose. When I went to Kosikala to meet my family members, they expressed their wish but did not show much interest. I spent nearly a year in my efforts, and one day, with the help of Shri K. D. Sharma Ji and Shri Rameshwar Singh Ji, I succeeded in organizing a two-day satsang. The satsang at Kosikala took place on 12-13 May 2001 and was very successful due to the grace of Shri Guru Maharaj Ji.

I was born in Vrajbhumi (Kosikala). I am a resident of Vraj where worship and religion are highly regarded, and we Vrajwasis have great faith in deities, ancestors, and gurus. However, my faith in Guru Maharaj increased significantly after coming into his presence. With the grace of Guru Maharaj, I have no worries about the future. Guru Maharaj himself takes care of the difficulties and troubles of his devotees.

Since I took refuge in Shri Guru Maharaj Ji, my family and I have experienced peace and happiness in every way. My family and I are happy in every respect.
